Radiant in-floor heating is on all three levels of the home. The heat is supplied by hot water running through tubing under the floor. This is energy-efficient and superior to earlier forms of in-floor heating. The heat is most efficient when left at a constant temperature - according to the owner, it costs no more to heat these 4,000 sq.ft. then it did to heat a 1,600 sq.ft. home using a forced-air gas furnace. You will never have cold toes in this house!
